#TuesdayTalk: Part I

We're starting a short series called #TuesdayTalk, where Ronald Krieger (one of our owners) shares his thoughts/memories on O.K. Hatchery! For our first week, Ronald Krieger shares what O.K. Hatchery means to him:

"The O.K. Hatchery business has essentially been the story of my life. I grew up with it as a youngster, probably starting to do some work there as early as 5 years old. Check out the picture of me holding a broom at our original location at Essex Ave. and Dougherty Ferry Road.

I worked part time for many years up until my wife Pat and I bought the business from my Dad in 1966. It was at that time that we made the big decision to leave my engineering job at the Missouri State Highway Department and become a full time entrepreneur.

Was it a sound decision? Yes, absolutely, and all the previous years of part time working at O.K. (mostly Saturdays and Summers), instilled in me the foundation to make this extreme change go rather smoothly."
